This week has been a really strange week. In terms of the pregnancy, it has been a good one overall, but due to Atlanta’s little ice/snow “storm,” our schedules have been a bit off!
I cannot believe how much I’ve grown this week. I have to keep reminding myself it’s a GOOD THING, because that means that Bonnie is growing too!
How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain? Probably too much! About 9 as best I can tell, which means I gained TWO pounds in one week. I did not even think that was possible!
Maternity clothes? Yep, but not exclusively.
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep: Insomnia has been an issue the past few nights. It’s been very frustrating.
Best moment this week: Getting the chance to work on Bonnie’s nursery a little bit more. SO FUN!!!
Miss anything? My parents. I know I just saw them last week, but such a short visit just made me want to see them more.
Movement: I feel her almost every day.
Food cravings: WATER, which is super weird. I’ve never enjoyed drinking water, but I can’t get enough of it lately!
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: No… feeling pretty good!
Labor signs: Nope.
Symptoms: Umm… SUPER emotional.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Even though it has been a good week, I’d say (and I think my husband would agree) that I’ve been a bit moody.
Looking forward to: Our doctor’s appointment and final ultrasound on Tuesday. We are also watching the Superbowl this evening with some of Andrew’s classmates and their wives, so that will be fun!
What’s Going on With Baby:
- She weighs about 10.5 ounces now, and is about 10 inches from head to heel (which is how she will be measured from here on out.) That means she’s about the length of a banana!
- She is swallowing more, and producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. Lovely.
- Has a heartbeat that can possibly be heard with a plain old stethoscope. Woo-hoo!!!! (Except that I’ve tried hearing her heartbeat with Andrew’s stethoscope, and have had no luck yet…)
It’s hard to believe we are already halfway through this pregnancy. With each day that passes, I get more and more excited to meet our little girl!
