As I mentioned [probably far too many times] last week, my dad and sister visited over the weekend while Andrew was out of town for a family wedding. The weather was awful, so I am not sure how much my dad actually enjoyed his golf tournament, but I thoroughly enjoyed their visit.
My sister and I cooked several freezer meals, and had such a blast doing it! I am considering making once a month freezer meal cooking a normal thing around here. We spent about $130, and got at least four weeks-worth of meals out of the deal… maybe more. We made breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Needless to say, I felt incredibly productive and accomplished by the end of our cooking day!
Avery and I also got pedicures on Saturday morning. My mom bought me several pedicure gift certificates when Andrew and I were going through our IUIs, and I told myself I would hang on to some of them until I was too pregnant to comfortably paint my own toes! That day finally came, and I am so glad I got to share it with my sister.
I also got to spend some quality time with my sister and dad together, which was really special. It hit me when the three of us were at dinner together on Saturday night that that would be the last dinner I would share with my dad before Bonnie gets here… Crazy.
(Avery’s toes are the green ones, and mine are the coral ones. We know we have ugly feet. They run in our family. Well, my feet never run…)
How far along? 35 WEEKS!!!
Total weight gain? 14 pounds… my weight is fluctuating up and down constantly it seems. And my feet and ankles are swollen more often than not.
Maternity clothes? Yes.
Stretch marks? Nothing on my stomach.
Sleep: So much better than it was last week and the week before! I am still waking up to use the bathroom a lot, but the insomnia seems to be gone for now!
Best moment this week: Getting to spend time with my dad and sister. The next time I see both of them, BONNIE WILL BE HERE!!!
Miss anything? Being comfortable physically. I’m also missing that little bit of extra energy I had during the second trimester. It is long gone by now! (:
Movement: She moves most when I am sitting still, and I don’t do much sitting still until the evenings, so that is when I feel her most. And I am SO READY for her to drop, because she is KILLING my ribs.
Food cravings: Nothing specific. I am even wanting less and less ice these days, which is probably a good thing!
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: I was queasy and throwing up off and on Tuesday. But I have no idea what caused it, and after several hours, I felt totally normal again. Strange.
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Nothing new… except the tremendous pain behind my ribs. I assume this is because of how she is positioned.
Belly button in or out? In, but getting flatter all the time.
Wedding ring on or off? Off.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! Although I was extra emotional the first part of the week.
Looking forward to: A small, last-minute baby shower that some of the wives of Andrew’s classmates surprised me with. It is scheduled for Sunday. I am so touched that they thought of me, and have taken the time to put something together to celebrate Bonnie!
What’s Going on with Baby:
- She is still working on gaining weight, although from here on out it’s impossible to know her actual weight. A “normal” birth weight these days is anywhere from 6 to 10 pounds… I have a feeling Bonnie is going to be a big baby, but hopefully not 10 pounds big!
- She won’t get much longer from here on out. Good thing, because she is running out of space!
