This week has gone by so quickly… At least for me. Andrew would probably disagree. He had a crazy week at school this week, with several tests and quizzes. He just finished his third week of his sixth quarter of chiropractic school, and for me to say that I am proud of him is an enormous understatement. I am blown away by his diligence and motivation, and so humbled by how great his attitude has been even in the midst of such a difficult year and a half or so. I am so thankful to have him as
my husband, and I cannot wait to see him in action as a dad soon!
My nerves seemed to have calmed down some since last week. I think just voicing my concerns and anxieties helped a lot. I am so excited to meet Bonnie. I hope she likes me! I know that, in the years to come, there will be many times when she won’t like me so much, and when I have to be the bad guy. So I would really like to at least get started on the right foot!
How far along? 32… 5 more weeks until Bonnie is full-term.
Total weight gain? Still 14 pounds.
Maternity clothes? Yes. Mixing and matching with a few non-maternity shirts I have that still look okay on me.
Stretch marks? Nothing new, and nothing on my tummy.
Sleep: No more insomnia, and I usually fall asleep quickly, but am not sleeping long without waking up… and going to the bathroom!
Best moment this week: There were lots of good moments this week! But probably spending Friday evening with Andrew. He had 5 test/quizzes this week, and was so distracted and stressed all week long. So on Friday, when he was back to his normal self, I ate it up!
Miss anything? Hmm… I miss not feeling enormous, and I miss sleeping well. And I really miss not having to pee every twenty minutes. But I am NOT complaining! (:
Movement: She is moving so much, and I just can’t get enough of it!
Food cravings: Chocolate. Anything and everything chocolate. And banana pudding. And fruit smoothies.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Certain smells… raw meat, garlic, onions, strong vinegar.
Gender: She’s a girl!
Labor signs: No, but I’m definitely having Braxton Hicks almost daily now.
Symptoms: Itchy, itchy skin, peeing like crazy, a growing (and moving) tummy. Oh, and lots of bloating.
Belly button in or out? Still in, but it’s stretching flatter and flatter all the time.
Wedding ring on or off? I actually put it back on a few days ago. I noticed the fake one I was wearing was exceptionally loose, so I tried my real ring on, and it fit!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy, happy, happy. Although I did snap at Andrew for something pretty silly on Tuesday… so maybe I’m a little moody too.
Looking forward to: Meeting Bonnie. I. Can’t. Wait!
What’s Going on with Baby:
- She is 4 pounds, and about 19 inches long.
- She is enjoying swallowing, breathing, kicking, and sucking.
- More and more fat is accumulating on Bonnie, so she is becoming less see-through, and more opaque.
They say it is pretty typical to begin experiencing practice contractions (Braxton Hicks) around this time, if you haven’t already…
Here is a comparison picture of me at 22 weeks and again at 32 weeks…
Hopefully by the time it’s time for a 32 week and 42 week comparison picture, Bonnie will have already been here for a few weeks!!! Otherwise, I will be huge, and too ready to meet her to focus on anything else. If I remember correctly, my doctor will allow me to go two weeks past our due date before inducing. I am praying it won’t come to that!
