This week passed so quickly, and I can hardly believe we are knocking on the door of 30 weeks of pregnancy. Bonnie is going to be here so soon! I feel incredibly excited when I think about what it will be like to have her here, and to hold her in our arms, but I also feel overwhelmed and unprepared.
I’ve been reading the book Moms on Call, and it is, by far, my favorite baby book I’ve read so far. I could have bypassed all the others and only read this one! It is comprehensive, but it’s also succinct and to the point. They give you how-to’s, and they explain the whys behind their instructions and suggestions. They provide daytime and nighttime schedules and routines, along with breastfeeding information, etc. I highly recommend both the book and the website!
The top I’m wearing in this week’s picture came from Eve of Eden Maternity. The company’s owner contacted me several weeks ago and asked if I would be interested in trying out a few of their maternity pieces. Umm… Yes, please! Eve of Eden is based out of Australia, but they are working on expanding to the United States. Because they are an Australian company, their clothing is sized differently than clothing you would purchase from the U.S. But their website makes it pretty easy to figure out which size you are, as they tell you the height, bra size, and clothing size of each of their models.
I am thrilled with the way everything fits. And one bonus is that many of their items are both maternity and nursing clothes. Although the clothes are more expensive than what I would normally pay, the quality is also higher. The three things that Eve of Eden sent me are probably three of the nicest things I have hanging in my closet! Wearing them is such a special treat, and I’m so honored that they let me try some of their clothes on for size.
Now Let’s Talk Pregnancy…
How far along? 29 weeks
Total weight gain? 12 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes. And it’s finally warm enough that I can ditch the leggings I wore all winter!
Stretch marks? Nothing new, and still nothing on my stomach.
Sleep: Still not sleeping well.
Best moment this week: Getting to spend some time with my WHOLE family: Andrew, my parents, my sister and her husband.
Miss anything? Not really. I’m feeling very content.
Movement: Yes. She is moving more and more with each week that goes by. I got some little jabs to the ribs this week. They were not hard enough to be painful, but they felt very funny!
Food cravings: Still munching on ice constantly.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Overall I feel really great.
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Itchy skin, general discomfort.
Belly button in or out? Still in.
Wedding ring on or off? I took it off for a few days in the middle of the week, but it’s back on now.
Happy or moody most of the time: So happy! It’s been a great week with Andrew home from school.
Looking forward to: Getting the three-hour glucose test out of the way. I’m dreading it, but I also know I will feel more at ease after I learn the results.
What’s Going on with Baby:
