Andrew’s first week of finals (he had lab finals last week) went well, although we are still waiting for a few grades to come in. His lecture finals begin today, and I’m feeling so nervous for him! He has had a very successful quarter so far, and I’m hoping that it ends as well as it started. Once he makes it through his last week of finals, he will have an entire week off!
And believe me, I have lots of baby preparation activities lined up for us!
How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain? Almost exactly 13 pounds, which means I haven’t gained in the past two (?) weeks. I think it’s because of all the walking I’ve been doing recently. I am feeling gigantic, and very pregnant. But I’m really enjoying it!
Maternity clothes? Mostly, yes.
Stretch marks? Nothing new.
Sleep: I am still not sleeping well at all.
Best moment this week: There were lots of great moments this week, but the best was probably learning that Andrew passed his radiology class… by the skin of
his teeth… just his style.
Miss anything? I am really missing Lady. It feels so strange not having her with me, but I know she is in good hands. And I will get to visit her soon enough.
Movement: She is moving a little more each week. I can’t get enough of it! I love being able to look down and see my tummy moving!
Food cravings: Guacamole. I think this makes three weeks in a row. I bought six avocados at the grocery store this week. Six.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Nope! Still feeling great, apart from being sleepy!
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: My face is breaking out, and has been for several weeks.
Belly button in or out? In. I am thinking it might stay in the whole time I’m pregnant.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! It was a great week!
Looking forward to: This afternoon! I am going to visit my doctor and nurses at GRS, and am so excited to see all of them! I will remember each of them for the rest of my life. I still believe that God led us to that fertility clinic, and the staff treated me as if I were their only patient. I think they treated every patient that way. Given the circumstances, I could not have asked for a better experience.
I am also looking forward to the end of the week, when Andrew will be finished with his lecture finals!
I’ve gotten lots of walking in this week, and I have to say, it helps SO much. It helps me feel better both physically and mentally when I’m able to walk several miles each day. The first few days of the week were cold and dreary, so I had to walk inside on the treadmill, but Thursday through
Saturday it was warm enough for me to walk outside. There is a very nice public park less than a mile from our house (I only recently discovered it, thanks to Andrew’s missing his turn into Publix… so glad he did), and I was able to walk there a few days. Walking inside is fine, but walking outside in the sunshine is just wonderful. (Click here to read about the benefits of exercising outside for PCOS.)
What’s Going on with Baby:
- She is 15 whopping inches long, and over 2 pounds!
- She may recognize my voice by now, which is just so cool. Knowing this makes me want to talk to her all the time.
