Bonnie is only 12 weeks away from being considered full-term! There are still some days I can hardly believe it. Our 24 weeks appointment was last Tuesday, and it was totally uneventful. My blood pressure was great, her heart rate was great… Again, completely uneventful.
The rest of the week, on the other hand, was not!
I got to Nashville on Wednesday night, headed to the church where my sister was getting married to do some wedding stuff Thursday morning, met a friend and fellow blogger for lunch later on Thursday (it was actually our first time meeting in person, and it was so wonderful to get to spend some time with her), went back to the church and helped with wedding stuff again in the afternoon, had the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner on Friday, and saw my sister get married on Saturday!
The whole day was just beautiful and perfect. The whole weekend was perfect, right down to the weather, and I am so excited for the rest of Avery and Brandon’s
How far along? 25 weeks
Total weight gain? 13.5 pounds
Maternity clothes? All day, every day, with the exception of a handful of shirts that still fit and look okay.
Stretch marks? Still just the one I mentioned last week. It’s tiny, but definitely there.
Sleep: Since I’ve gotten a
lot bigger over the past couple weeks, sleeping with an extra pillow between my legs really makes it easier to get and stay comfortable. It also encourages me to sleep on my side, which is hard. I always want to flop over onto my back!
Best moment this week: My sister getting married!!! Bonnie and I also had a doctor’s appointment during the week, and I loved hearing her heartbeat.
Miss anything? I miss not feeling huge! But it’s worth it, worth it, worth it!
Movement: She has been moving a lot this week, and I absolutely love it.
Food cravings: Nothing specific.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: No, I haven’t felt queasy at all… just a little tired and sluggish.
Labor signs: None.
Symptoms: Nothing new that I can think of.
Belly button in or out? Still in.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy this week…. Because it was a wonderful week!
Looking forward to: Getting a crib mattress. That’s the last major thing we need before Bonnie gets here. Everything else we need is pretty small. Since we aren’t have a baby shower, we’ve been purchasing a lot on our own, which means we’ve done A LOT of bargain hunting. My parents have also gotten us some things.
I’m also looking forward to my mom’s visit at the end of this week. I’m hoping she will help me window shop some breast pumps… I was feeling incredibly overwhelmed at the thought of selecting a breast pump, but thanks to all of the helpful comments from all of you last week, I finally feel like I have some direction, and a good idea of what to look for! So thank you all! (: Apparently, I need all the help I can get!
What’s Going on with Baby:
- She is about 13.5 inches long (about the size of an eggplant)!
- She is growing more hair, and it already has its own color and texture (my guess is dark and curly, but I can’t wait to find out for sure!)
- Lungs are continuing to develop.
- Her nostrils, which have been plugged up until now, are starting to open.
- Her vocal chords are developing and getting ready to SCREAM.
