Andrew is getting back in the swing of things at school, and I’ve been working a lot, so this week was a busy one! Neither of us can believe how quickly time is passing… Andrew is already a week into his fifth quarter of school, and we are already nearly halfway through this pregnancy.
We are enrolled in a Bradley Methods birthing class, and have recently started attending the weekly sessions. It’s pretty early on for us to already be taking the classes (most women wait until they are toward the end of their pregnancies), but the next class would have ended past Bonnie’s due date, so taking it now was our best option. As far as Bradley classes are concerned, our options were really limited, since there is only one teacher who is within reasonable driving distance from us.
How far along? 18 weeks
Total weight gain? 6 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes. Not exclusively, but occasionally. And definitely maternity jeans. My non-maternity clothing is definitely starting to fit funny.
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep: I have great nights, and not so great nights. It’s hard to stay asleep and to stay comfy.
Best moment this week: I felt Bonnie move! I wasn’t sure what it was at first, but I’ve been paying close attention, and I think it’s her. It feels like popcorn or bubbles in my belly. (:
Miss anything? Sleeping on my
tummy and back.
Movement: Yep! I felt it for the first time Tuesday night, and by the end of the day Wednesday, I was sure it was her (and not just gas or something.)
Food cravings: Sushi. Long story, but I blame my husband for this…
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: No. Other than feeling a bit tired this week (probably just from not sleeping well), I feel great!
Showing? Yes. I can’t believe how quickly I started showing! Seems like it happened overnight. Although my tummy seems smaller this week than it did last week. I’m wondering if maybe I was just bloated last week or something.
Gender: She’s a GIRL, and we are SO EXCITED to meet her!
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: Just a growing belly. The back pain I mentioned last week is still an issue, but much less so. I’ve upped my chiropractic adjustments to twice a week (instead of just once), and I think that’s what is making the difference.
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Again, very happy, but still emotional at times. But more happy than anything this week.
Looking forward to: My sister’s BRIDAL SHOWER this weekend!!!
Now that Andrew is back in school and we are both getting back into our “regular” routines, I’ve done a lot better with exercise this week. I’ve kept up with my walking and stretching goals, and doing so has made such a difference in how I feel! We’ve also gotten back into our old meal planning and eating routines, so that has helped us both feel good.
What’s Going on With Baby:
- Bonnie is also looking forward to my sister’s bridal shower this weekend. (:
- She is about 5.5 inches long, and weighs about 7 ounces.
- She can hear sounds through amniotic fluid.
- And she can suck her thumb!
Come back tomorrow for an exciting giveaway!!!
