Warning: I’m planning on posting every day between now and when Bonnie is born, regardless of whether I have anything to say or not! I want to make sure these final days are well-documented, for my own sake.
Yesterday was such a nice day. It was my birthday. What would have made the day PERFECT is if Bonnie had decided to grace us with her presence yesterday. That did not happen, but it was still a nearly perfect day!
I think Bonnie might have dropped during the night on Wednesday. I felt a little thud, and simultaneously, a massive cramping sensation. It lasted only a second, and then stopped. But ever since I have felt a bit more pressure in my pelvis when I walk and move. I’m not sure how much she could have dropped if my cervix is as firm as the doctor says it is… not quite sure how all that works.
Thursday morning I woke up to a sweet card from my husband. He did not have class until after lunch, so he and I met some friends for breakfast, and then my friend Tiffany and I went to get pedicures. I was, of course, hoping this might help jump-start some contractions. It didn’t, but it was nice anyway!
Tiffany and Alex gave me an incredibly thoughtful gift… They even picked the perfect size and color!
Tiffany’s mom even made some re-usable nursing pads for me, which I thought was so thoughtful, particularly considering that I’ve never even met her! Tiffany is pregnant as well so we all have babies on the brain!
Andrew and I are both so glad it’s Friday. This has felt like a long week, and Andrew especially is glad to have another week of school under his belt. He took lots of tests this week, and has a handful of finals next week as well. But he is in the home stretch of this quarter, we both have Bonnie to look forward to, so all is well!!!
