Even though it’s a bit early to be whipping Bonnie’s nursery into shape, I’ve already done lots of planning, lots of dreaming, and a little shopping. So I have a good idea of what the space is going to look like when it is complete. This has allowed me to create some printables that will go well with the rest of her nursery.
I found SO MANY prints online that I loved for Bonnie’s nursery, but many of them were the wrong size, the wrong color, or the wrong price. Using the ideas I found online, I created some of my own nursery prints. Of course, I have to give most of the credit to the original sources, because in some cases I copied, nearly exactly, the original print, making only small changes here and there.
So here is what we have so far:
I fell in love with this one the first time I saw it. The only reason I did not use the original version of this print is because I wanted a slightly different font (to match some of the fonts I am using in other prints.) Otherwise, I kept everything the exact same.
I got the idea for this print from here, but knew I wanted something more feminine, and in different colors than the original.
This is one of my favorites! Again, I could not find an original source for this print, but here is where I got the idea.
If you would like a PDF of any of the above prints, here you go! Just make sure to go check out the original versions of these first, because you might like those better!
I have several other pictures and wall hangings that we will use in Bonnie’s nursery, and am working on a big art project to go on the wall above her changing table. Hopefully it will be done soon, and I can share the final product with you (if it turns out well!) We have not actually purchased any artwork for the nursery, but are using things that I’ve collected over time, and “shopping” items from other parts of the house.
A year of so ago we bought a rocking chair from a yard sale, and a changing table from an indoor flea market. Immediately after finding out we were pregnant, I went to the Nashville Flea Market with my mom, where I found a small toy chest at a great price, so I snatched that up. And a couple weeks ago we bought a crib from Walmart.com, where they offer free shipping on orders over $50. We do not have a mattress or anything yet, but we have plenty of time for that. Finally, my mom is letting us borrow a small white bookshelf she had in a spare bedroom at her house. So we have all the furniture we need! Bonnie’s nursery is tiny, so I don’t think much else could fit (furniture-wise) even if we wanted it to!
My grandmother works wonders with a sewing machine, and is going to sew the crib skirt and bumper, and possibly curtains, for the nursery when the time comes. I am so excited to get everything put together and ready for her!
