Today is mine and Andrew’s wedding anniversary. Some days I cannot believe we have only been married three years…. so much has happened since the day we said “I do!” But then, other days, it feels like the time has flown by.
I’ve always known we are a bit of a mis-matched couple. Our personalities are completely different, and so are our hobbies, interests, and even our tastes in food. But I am learning every day that that’s just the way God works. He does things we don’t expect, and He does them in ways that we would never expect.
If you would have told me my freshman year old college that Andrew and I would be married four years down the road, I would not have believed you. And if you would have told me on our wedding day that, three years later we would be living in Georgia where Andrew would be in chiropractic school, I definitely would not have believed you. Again, that is just the way God works.
In honor of our anniversary, I thought I’d share some pictures from our wedding. We had a small, intimate wedding, and we did almost everything ourselves. Although I wish I had had the help of Pinterest (we were married pre-Pinterest), I am still thrilled each time I look at our wedding pictures.
“Love is extravagant in the price it is willing to pay, the time it is willing to give, the hardship it is willing to endure, and the strength it is willing to spend. Love never thinks in terms of “how little”, but always in terms of “how much.” Love gives, love knows, and love lasts.”
