Due to being unexpectedly pregnant, and having horrible nausea and indigestion, What I Ate Wednesdays are on hold. Eating isn’t all that appealing to me right now, and blogging about food is equally as unappealing. I will bring them back when I’m able to eat more normally. My nausea is bearable, and usually subsides three or four hours after I wake up, but the indigestion is just awful! I never experienced either of these things when I was pregnant with Bonnie, so they’re really caught me by surprise.
I am definitely able to eat, but nothing substantial. When I do attempt a hearty meal, I regret it because of the terrible indigestion I experience afterward! Meat has not been appealing to me at all, so my diet has consisted mostly of things like rice crackers, toast, popcorn, and the occasional smoothie, although my smoothie textures have been bothering me, which is also strange.
If any of you have advice for how to deal with the ickiness of the first trimester, please share! I’ll try just about anything after how gross I’ve felt this week!
