Typing this post’s title feels so surreal! Yesterday’s appointment could not have gone any better, and I spent the past two weeks worrying myself sick for nothing.
The baby is measuring at exactly 8 weeks gestation, with such a strong heartbeat! He or she is one centimeter and a half long! The doctor gave me a due date of June 15th, which is one day sooner than the original due date I was given. That’s also Bonnie’s birthday!
For about two weeks I’ve been incredibly nauseated, and had indigestion, but both those things went away Monday. I woke up on Monday with zero nausea and went the whole day without experiencing any indigestion. I’ve felt fine ever since!
I’m exceptionally tired most days, and I’m having crazy, constant dreams when I sleep.
As much as I hate to admit it, I’ve hardly exercised at all these past two weeks. I’ve felt awful until recently, and the weather has been bad this week, which has prevented Bonnie and me from going on our usual walks.
When I was pregnant with Bonnie, I was able to walk about 7-10 miles daily. I took for granted how easy it was for me to fit in any exercise back then! Now that I have Bonnie, who has a very short tolerance for being confined to the stroller, my walks are limited to maybe 3 miles each day, and I haven’t gone on a single walk in nearly two weeks.
My exercise report next week will be better!
Now, back to the baby:
- Baby is about the size of a raspberry… or a gummy bear if you prefer!
- He or she has finger, toe, elbow and knee joints that he or she can bend and wiggle.
- The little tail is almost gone!
What I’m most looking forward to:
I’m looking forward to so much these days, but most immediately is our ultrasound next week!
