Apart from a little rain the weather here has been amazing this week! And being outside has done wonders for both me and Bonnie. I’ve gotten some decent walks in, although we all know how well (or NOT well) Bonnie does with being in a stroller, so the walks have been shorter than I’d like. My parents found a plastic slide/play set at a local thrift store and Bonnie has been loving that!
I can hardly believe that next week is the start of my third trimester. This pregnancy has been so different from my pregnancy with Bonnie in nearly every way, but one of the best differences has been how much faster this one is going! I am already so excited to meet Nora (check out this post to see our other name choices.)
How far along? 27 weeks
Total weight gain? 13 pounds
Maternity clothes? Mostly, yes.
Stretch marks? Nothing yet.
Sleep: I am still not sleeping well at all.
Best moment this week: Bonnie slept in one day this week. That was super nice, since she’s been waking up before the sun lately.
Miss anything? Andrew and Biscuit. They will be getting here this time next week, and I cannot wait!
Movement: Yes. Such strong movements! And when she moves my belly moves with her, which didn’t happen until the very end of my pregnancy with Bonnie, so I’m just eating it up this time around!
Food cravings: Nothing consistent, but my sister mentioned burgers the other day, so I’ve been craving one for the past couple of days.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Nope! Apart from being a bit tired I am feeling great!
Labor signs: None, but I am having frequent Braxton Hicks.
Symptoms: My feet are swollen by the end of the day if I’m on them a lot, and my face is really beginning to fill out.
Belly button in or out? In, but nearly flat.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! It was a great week!
Looking forward to: Lots of things… I had to reschedule last week’s hair appointment for tomorrow, so I’m looking forward to that. I’m also looking forward to seeing Andrew next week and for next week’s midwife appointment. I’m a little nervous about the appointment actually, because it is glucose test time!
What’s Going on with Baby:
- She is 15 whopping inches long, and over 2 pounds!
- She may recognize my voice by now, which is just so cool.
- Increased brain activity.
- Lungs are developing rapidly.
