My heart has been so full this week. The girls have just been at their absolute best, and I am so abundantly thankful for the things God is doing in our lives during this season. Although it has been a struggle to keep up with this space lately, I wanted to share some pictures and moments from the last couple of weeks.
Bonnie is growing by leaps and bounds in every way. Her mind is so sharp, and going a mile a minute. It is so amazing how quickly children learn during these early years! I can tell that her concept of God is beginning to form. I have been telling her that God is always with us, and because He lives in our hearts we are never alone. So she told me yesterday that God and Jonah were in the whale’s belly together. That is her favorite Bible story right now, but she really loves so many of them. She absolutely LOVES the Jesus Calling Bible storybook. I plan on getting this version of it for Audrey as an Easter gift.
Audrey is precious and incredible. And she has my thumbs. Which is also pretty incredible since less than 3% of the population has my thumbs (often referred to as “clubbed thumbs.”) And only .4% of caucasian people have them. Fun fact. I always knew there was something extra special about her!
She is still sleeping well, in spite of cutting three teeth right now. She is trying hard to pull up, but usually needs a boost from me! She can push onto all fours, but has zero concept of crawling. She is eating well, although still not loving baby-led weaning the way Bonnie did. She prefers purees, and of course nursing. She has finally gotten the hang of sippy cups, as long as they are the kind with a straw! She also does well taking a bottle on the rare occasion when she needs to.
The girls celebrated their first Valentines Day together this year! It is amazing how having children turns a once unimportant and uncelebrated holiday in our household into a big, fun celebration. A friend from church invited us to a Valentines Day party. Most of the guests were under 2 years of age, and we had such a blast. It made me excited for Easter!!!
