Bonnie and I will be moving back to Tennessee exactly 33 days from now. There is a lot of packing to be done between now and then. And I still haven’t painted that hutch I mentioned a few weeks back. I’ve been motivated to do it, but was indecisive on the color. As of Monday though, the color has been purchased and the hutch has been sanded. So by next week’s pregnancy update, the hutch should be painted! As for the packing, I’m not quite so motivated to do that…
A stomach bug hit me hard Monday afternoon and is still lingering. It’s really getting the best of me, and has thrown a bit of a wrench into the week, but I think I’m on the upswing.
How far along? 20 weeks
Total weight gain? 7 pounds
Maternity clothes? Yes. Still a mix of both maternity and non-maternity, but I’m far more comfortable in maternity clothes, and they are more flattering on me than most non-maternity.
Stretch marks? No.
Sleep: It’s been a struggle this week! I cannot get and stay comfortable, and my legs cramp at night. My hips also start hurting when I’m in bed, which I don’t remember happening with Bonnie. Plus the whole stomach bug thing…
Best moment this week: Andrew got to feel her move for the first time! My parents visited over the weekend, and time with them is always filled with lots of wonderful moments. Bonnie sure does love them. I hope this baby has the same connection with them that she does.
Miss anything? Sleeping comfortably, and without having to go to the bathroom throughout the night.
Movement: I can feel her every day, and more all the time.
Food cravings: Nothing specific lately.
Anything making you feel queasy or sick: Nope.
Labor signs: No.
Symptoms: My skin is finally clearing up some. My mom suggested cleaning my face with baking soda a few times per week. After only two uses I noticed a huge improvement, and it’s only getting better!
Belly button in or out? In.
Wedding ring on or off? On.
Happy or moody most of the time: Really moody. I’ve felt defeated this week, although I can’t pinpoint why. Not sure if it’s hormones or Satan… or maybe they are both ganging up on me!
Looking forward to: I’m just ready not to be in Georgia anymore. I’m beyond ready to close this chapter of our lives and begin the next, and it’s so fitting that Baby is due two days before Andrew’s graduation. What a perfect way to start our next chapter!
What’s Going on With Baby:
- She is about 6.5 inches long and weighs about 10.2 ounces.
- Her taste buds are fully functional.
- She is consuming more and more amniotic fluid every day.
I will just leave you with this. It will perk you up even if you’ve had a bit of an off-week, as we have here in our neck of the woods.
