(Though this is significantly easier to proclaim now that I know Andrew will be here soon!)
Archives for August 2012
I very recently began selling Juice Plus+ products. A couple weeks back, mom invited me to go to a wellness presentation put on by the woman who sold my mom Juice Plus+. For lack of anything better to do, I went with her, and am SO GLAD I did! The timing of the message the speaker shared was just perfect! After the presentation, I decided to give selling it a whirl. The whole package of being a “sales person” completely contradicts my natural personality, but I really believe in the product, and am very excited to share it with others.
Juice Plus+ is a 100% natural, completely whole foods based supplement. It is NOT a vitamin. Juice Plus+ is literally a blend of 17 fruits and veggies that have been juiced, ground into power, and placed into capsules. All of this is done at low temperatures so that the cells are not damaged. Juice Plus+ is intended to supplement that fruits and vegetables that we eat each day.
My mom, who has fibromyalgia, started taking Juice Plus+ several months ago after a patient recommended it to her. After about one month, she was able to stop taking her prescription medicines, and now experiences fewer symptoms than she has in years.
Though I do not have any specific health issues, after watching the way Juice Plus+ transformed my mom’s life, I began taking it simply for prevention and overall health (I knew that even though I had a relatively healthy diet, I did not get all the fruits and vegetables each day that I needed). It has changed my life completely. I have more energy than I have ever had in my adult life, I sleep better at night, am able to focus more easily throughout the day, and I eat more fruits and vegetables. My husband’s first shipment of Juice Plus+ arrived in the mail this week. We will both take Juice Plus+ for the rest of our lives, and so will our kids! (:
I mentioned to my mom last time we spoke on the phone that I was wearing my Juice Plus+ t-shirt. Her response was, “I can’t picture you wearing a Juice Plus+ t-shirt.”
Well… here it is!
I realize the picture is downright terrible, but I took at least five, and this is the best I’ve got!
Here is the whole ensemble. I was clearly not going for any fashion awards this morning.
Lady managed to pull the Juice Plus+ look off much better:
Is the dog shirt a little overboard? Maybe… But I had to do it.

I have not blogged in such a long time, which seems ironic since the entire reason I began this blog was so that Andrew and I could keep those that we love in the loop during our time away from “home.” August has been an incredibly busy month, and I
just have not felt up to it. I knew that it would be difficult for me to leave my parents, my job, my life. But I had no idea I would feel this… drained! It has been all I can do lately to roll out of bed, put a smile on my face, and be kind to people all day. It literally feels like it takes all my strength just to do those simple things.
Andrew’s being here full time will help tremendously, so I am counting down the days for that to happen! He is actually coming down for the weekend. He will get here around midnight tomorrow and stay through Labor Day. I already have a list of things for us to do while he is here. I had to write them down since my brain does not seem to be working at full capacity these past couple of weeks.
Today’s post is specifically for my mom. There are a few things I want to show her, and since I cannot do so in person, I am doing it via the blog!
Here is the burlap frame:
As tempting as it was to add more embellishments to the other side, I decided against it… Did not want it to end up looking to gaudy!
Here is the back:
I am really pleased with the way it turned out, and plan to use the same concept for another frame we have that has just been waiting for the right project.
And as far as our kids’ table is concerned, I have something like this in mind:
Then, for the piano bench, I thought we could use the same color blue as the kids’ table for the legs, and then black for the top. What do you think?
As I mentioned in my last post, my parents and I drove down to Marietta on Friday to move a few more things into the house, and for me to meet with Dr. Marc (the chiropractor who I had the interview with last week). Well, I did meet with him, and he asked me to start work on Monday. He also asked if I would come in for a few hours on Saturday for a training session with their computer software.
So Friday afternoon I high-tailed it back to Nashville, packed my things, and then headed back to Marietta bright and early Saturday morning.
And that is where Lady and I are now. We are sitting in a McDonald’s in Marietta, taking advantage of their free wi-fi. Andrew is, of course, staying in Nashville to finish out to golf season, since he has already committed to coaching.
The whole weekend has been a blur, and I still feel pretty discombobulated. The chiropractor I will be working for has asked that I wear scrubs (YUCK), so my mom and I got a couple pair when we were together on Friday. Yesterday after my training I went for a walk in our new neighborhood and got COMPLETELY lost. This morning, I visited a church but was not crazy about it.
Next on my little agenda (gotta have one to make myself stay busy) is to check out the Marietta Farmers’ Market. I am a bit lonely, but determined not to let it get to best of me!
When Andrew, my parents, and I went down to Marietta last weekend, on top of unpacking and cleaning, I also went to a job interview at a chiropractor’s office. The interview went really well, and I am going back on Friday (tomorrow) for a second interview. If all goes well I will start the job either
this Monday or the next.
So… my parents and I will be taking another trip to Atlanta tomorrow while Andrew stays here. He does not want to miss the first high school football game of the season!
Well, our renters are moving into our house today. We turned our keys and garage doors over to them yesterday. It made me a little emotional walking into an empty house and leaving my keys there, knowing that it will be years before I step foot in there again.
But it is a GOOD thing. And it’s a God thing.
How unsearchable His judgments,
and His paths beyond tracing out!”
